Fae Kendell Burrows
RIVERDALE a" Fae Virginia Kendell Boyle Burrows, 88, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at her home in Riverdale.
She was born March 16, 1920 in South Weber, a daughter of John T. and Myrle D. Francom Kendell.
Fae married Robert T. Boyle on September 19, 1944. He died May 22, 1945. She married Parley W. Burrows on December 23, 1955. Parley preceded her in death October 23, 1966.
She was raised in South Weber and graduated from Davis High School in 1938.
Fae was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Washington Terrace 2nd Ward.
She worked as a school librarian for the Weber County School District and as an insurance processor for Ogden Women''s Clinic.
She was a member of the Gold Star Wives of America and served her country sewing parachutes during World War II.
Fae loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved traveling with friends and family. Her other interests included reading, china painting, CNN Headline News, and politics. Fae was a remarkable woman who saw many world changes throughout her life. She was a loving, caring mother who raised her children single handedly after being widowed. She loved her family unconditionally and would do anything she could to help them.
Surviving are one son and two daughters, Wayne J. (Patricia) Burrows, Jayne (Chad) Barton, Annette (Curtis) Stromberg; grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Burrows, Bryce, Chase, Tawnni and Kortnee Barton, Meghann (Brandon) Sjoblom, Alexis, Morgan and Mackenzie Stromberg; and precious great-grandbabies, Scotland and Sweden Sjoblom.
Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, V. Kay Kendell, Donna Cornia and LaVell Smith.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
