Fae R. Jensen

Fae R. Jensen OGDEN – Fae Robinson Jensen died Monday, February 22, 2010, in Layton, from natural causes. She was born January 11, 1924, in Coalville, Utah, to Harvey Wallace and Clarice Rees Robinson and had just celebrated her 86th birthday. She had a happy childhood on a sheep ranch in Coalville and graduated from North Summit High School. She attended Stevens-Henager College in Salt Lake City before going to work at Defense Depot Ogden where she played on the women’s softball team. She later worked for Dr. Verne Nielsen, Dr. S.F. Blackburn, and Dr. Keith Linford. Fae married Howard V. Jensen on August 9, 1946, in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married just short of 60 years. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2006. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and showed that devotion by fulfilling many callings in the auxiliaries of the church. Her favorite was working with the youth, and she had a lasting impact on the lives of many. She considered them all her cherished friends. Fae loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping and gardening and was a master at preserving her harvests. She took pleasure in being with her friends and creating beautiful works of art and playing bridge. She was an avid Weber State sports fan and rarely missed a football or basketball game. Fae was a quiet, gracious example of true charity and had the rare quality of making every situation better. Most of all, she loved her family and was proud of every one of them and their accomplishments. Fae and Howard left a legacy of love and service. She is survived by her children, Carol (Burt) and Don (Cindee). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Darren (Amy), Tricia (Chad), Kristen (Jason), Craig (Kandise), Riley (Haylie), Randee, and Kaydee and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Vera (Don), and one brother, James (Sharon). Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ogden East Stake Center, 1314 – 27th Street. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ogden East Stake Center from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Providence City Cemetery.
