Fannie Aileen Rosell
Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, F. Aileen Rosell, 99, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. She was born on January 30, 1914 the daughter of Pinkney Walter and Lecy Editha Wright Curb in Gould, Oklahoma. She grew up in Oklahoma, where she attended school and raised her family until moving to Utah in 1961.
Aileen married Roland L. Rosell on April 26, 1939 in Roswell, New Mexico. Roland passed away on June 20, 1991.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Aileen worked as a secretary for an insurance agency and later for Tinker Air Force Base and Hill Air Force Base.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She loved playing Bridge and golfing with her friends. She enjoyed painting with oils, ceramics, and reading a good book.
Aileen is survived by her daughter, Beverly Jo Wilcox; four grandchildren, Nate (Kelly Corrigan) Glissmeyer, Blake (Jennifer Musial) Glissmeyer, Mike Glissmeyer, Vanessa (Fred Thorne) Battisti; Taylor Glissmeyer and Makayla Battisti; sisters, Nina Mae Lascurain and Reba Louise Cotton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daughter, Sherry Locke; parents, brothers, Ersa, Floyd, Earl, Aaron, Jo, and Al; and sisters, Birdie, Beatta, and Elisa.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
In leiu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundaion.
