Fawn M. Conroy died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Wasatch Care Center surrounded by loving family members.
She was born August 23, 1921, in Ogden, UT, the daughter of Henry Harry and Cecil Marie Tomney. Fawn married Ned Kent and from this union came two children, Dennis and Carol. She later married Wallace H. Peterson and had four additional children, Linda, Douglas, Craig, and Jeffrey. She later married Robert E. Conroy.
Fawn lived most of her life in Ogden, UT and worked primarily in the restaurant business as a waitress and manager. She was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, music, her children and grandchildren and her favorite Holidaya"Christmas. She was known to many of her friends and family as "Fonzie".
Fawn is survived by her children, Dennis (Sharon) Kent, SLC; Douglas (Marilyn) Peterson, Ogden; and Craig (Debbie) Peterson, Roseville, CA; her sister, Barbara (Oliver) Scovel; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Carol Ann Williams; Linda Lee Doane; Jeffrey Lynn Peterson; her granddaughter, Monica Frearson, and siblings, Dick Tomney, Jack Tomney, Leonard Tomney, and Judy Erz.
Cremation services under the direction of Lindquist Mortuaries.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Mary''s Parish, Hospice for Utah or the charity of your choice.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the loving care extended to Fawn by the staff of Mountain Ridge Assisted Living, Wasatch Home Care, Dr. Gary Holland, Dr. John Hemmersmeier, and the guidance and comfort provided by Hospice for Utah and their wonderful staff; Brooke, Jackie, and Lisa.
A very special and grateful thanks to Fawn''s granddaughtera"Emily Bradley. Emily, who works at Hospice of Utah recently reconnected with her Grandma Fawn. Emily was instrumental and unselfish in helping Fawn complete her life''s journey and final days with dignity, compassion, respect, guidance, advice, and most of all "Love". Thanks for being there and helping us navigate this difficult time Emily. We will forever be indebted to you.
