Fay LaVern Cook Redfearn

Fay LaVern Cook Redfearn, 93, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014. She was born in Harrison, Arkansas on February 20, 1921 the daughter of Worth and Mina Bell Qualls Cook. She grew up in Harrison, Arkansas, and Wichita, Kansas.
She moved to Auburn, Washington and married Jasper Newton Redfearn, Sr. on April 12, 1946 in Auburn, Washington. Jasper and Fay moved to Moses Lake, Washington. Jasper and Fay joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints being baptized on May 2, 1954. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 12, 1955. The family moved to North Ogden, Utah in 1966. Jasper passed away on May 27, 1988.
Fay had a strong testimony of the Gospel and loved the church. She served faithfully as a Secretary in the Relief Society, home management teacher, Sunday School teacher, and served for 20 years in the extraction program.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and crafts. All of her children and grandchildren have crocheted handiwork from Mom that is beautiful. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Fay is survived by her children, Arminta Fay Redfearn (William C.) Clegg, Pocatello, Idaho; Medora Elizabeth (Rodger) VanCleave, Pleasant View; Roderick Worth (Rosemarie) Redfearn, Ogden; Coila Madge (Kerry R.) Schenk, Pocatello, Idaho; Keith Adair (Christie Lee) Redfearn, Pleasant View; Linton Reece Redfearn, North Ogden; and Ardith Roshell (Roger) Stitt, Eden; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Worth and Mina Bell Qualls Cook; husband, Jasper Newton Redfearn, Sr.; son, Jasper Newton Redfearn, Jr.; granddaughters, Brittany Leigh Redfearn and Angela VanCleave; and sister, Mildred Reed.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary.
