Faye L. Bergeson
PLEASANT VIEW - Our dearest wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Faye Lemmon Bergeson, 90, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Ogden.
She was born October 21, 1918 in Weston, Idaho, a daughter of Leona and Alfred Lemmon. Her early years were spent in Weston and Preston, Idaho. She graduated from Preston High School.
On October 2, 1940, Faye married Philip Bergeson in the Logan LDS Temple. They resided in Lewiston, Utah until 1980 when they moved to Pleasant View.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Faye spent many years as a 4-H Leader and helped with the Cache County Fairs. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang with a trio at many church and civic events. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting throughout the years.
Faye was employed at Utah State University for 20 years where she was Director of Space Management.
Faye is survived by her husband, Philip, of Pleasant View; her children and their spouses, Joe (Patty) Bergeson, Orem; Kathy (Ron) Rash, Layton; Elaine (Paul) Pitcher, Pleasant View; Evan (Linn) Bergeson, Bountiful; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Maxine Talbot.
Preceding Faye in death were her son, Hal, her parents, one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 12th Ward Chapel, 900 West Pleasant View Drive.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the Ward Chapel from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lewiston, Utah City Cemetery where family and friends will gather for graveside services at 3 p.m.
