Faye LuJean Green

Faye LuJean Hart Green, known to many as Grandma Jean, 80, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at her home.

She was born November 21, 1932 in Pocatello, Idaho the daughter of Wilford Clyde and Margaret Wanda Hocking Hart.

Jean married Wilbur Wayne Green on September 8, 1956 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2004.

Jean was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She especially enjoyed serving in scouting, spanning from a den leader to cub leader and assisted many to attain their Eagle Scout Award.

She loved her family and was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted wife. Jean enjoyed "puttering" in her yard and traveling.

Surviving are her three sons, Ken (Mindy) Green, Syracuse; Ronnie (Bobbie) Green, Layton; Michael J. (Laurie) Green, Clinton; daughter, Karen Hogensen, Layton; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister, Lois Woodward.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

The family wishes to express acknowledgement to special friends Connie Wright, Joyce Ashby, Vickie Vega and Ruth Seaver. Also a special thanks to Kim, Ashley and Dawn from Legacy Hospice.
