Faye LaRue Alkema Little
OGDEN- Faye LaRue Alkema Little, 86, passed away Friday, November 16, 2007 at her home of natural causes.
She was born on May 21, 1921 in Ogden, Utah to Johonous C. and Gladys Ball Alkema.
She married Wilford W. Little on July 8, 1938 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1989.
Faye lived in Ogden most of her life and then moved to Roy.
She was a member of the Ogden 3rd Ward and Roy Sandridge Ward
Faye worked at Dixie Shops, J.C. Penney''s and ZCMI. She loved to volunteer and enjoyed her volunteer work at the Gift Shops of Ogden Regional Hospital and Davis Hospital.
She enjoyed sewing school clothes and doll clothes. She loved gardening and had an immaculate yard. She enjoyed dancing and was an avid Jazz fan.
Faye is survived by one son, Gary W. (Karla) Little, Syracuse; three daughters, Sally L (Roger) Hill, Roy; Nancy K. (Barnard) Greenwood, Elko, NV; Karen (Jim) Cragun, South Ogden; ten grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Lloyd C. Alkema and a sister, Joyce Alkema.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m., at the mortuary.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
