Felix Preciliano Garcia, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 3, 2024, in Clearfield, Utah. Born on December 29, 1932, in Canjilon, New Mexico, to Belarmino and Rosa Garcia.


Felix dedicated his career to Base Logistics at  Hill Air Force Base. He served with unwavering commitment


Beyond his professional pursuits, Felix lived a life filled with joy and passion. He was an active member of The Eagles organization and held this affiliation close to his heart.


In his leisure time, Felix found happiness in the simplest of pleasures. He took great pride in caring for his lawn and would often be seen riding his trusty lawn mower with a smile on his face. Additionally, Felix enjoyed playing pool as a way to unwind.


Felix's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his loving family. He was a devoted husband to Josephine Garcia, whom he married on May 11, 1974 in Elko, Nevada, sharing a bond that grew stronger with each passing year. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love and shared memories.

Felix will be deeply missed by his children: Jesse (Duane) Garcia and wife Maureen; grandsons, Michael Garcia; Alex Garcia;  granddaughters, Caitlin Garcia Tupper; and Lauren Garcia Tupper. He cherished every moment spent with them and leaves behind a legacy of love and support. He is also survived by sisters Ufelia Motoya and Tillie Romero. In addition to his immediate family, Felix leaves behind stepchildren Paul Baca, L. David Baca, and Andrea Gillett.


Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Belarmino and Rosa Garcia, as well as his brothers Froyland Garcia, Jose (Joe) Garcia, Max Garcia, Gabrino Garcia, and sister Patsy Garcia.

 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit family Wednesday January 10,from 6 to 7 p.m.  Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. A vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

 

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
