Fern Kennedy Moyes

OGDEN a€" Fern Kennedy Moyes, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Fern was born January 14, 1920 in Ucon, Idaho, one of six children born to John G. and Opal Brough Kennedy.

She married Norman Moyes on August 8, 1940 in Ogden, and shortly after he served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Norman preceded her death on January 27, 1954.

Fern worked in retail and spent many years in home health care, giving loving care to the elderly.

Fern loved her family and especially her nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Kent Moyes, Ogden; Mike (Diane) Moyes, Hooper; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Fern is also survived by two siblings, Ernest (Bernie) Kennedy and Reva (Dean) Wood, and a sister-in-law, Cecil Kennedy.

Preceding Fern in death were her husband Norman, brother Dwain and sisters, Minnie and Violet.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
