Ferrell Reynolds

Ferrell “Teddy” Gale Reynolds, 81, passed away March 2, 2017 in Orem, Utah due to complications of lung cancer.

Teddy was born June 18, 1935 in Luna, New Mexico to his parents, Acel and Effie Reynolds. After spending his youth in Luna, Teddy lived in many other places; including Arkansas, Utah, California and several cities in New Mexico, particularly Demming.

Teddy was known as a hard-working man who remained steadfast until the job was complete. Some of Teddy’s favorite hobbies comprised of anything outdoors, crafting with beads, singing, writing songs and poetry, going to church, and attending sessions at the temple with his home teachers. Teddy was a generous, enthusiastic individual with a genuinely compassionate heart. Even though he didn’t have much financially, he always tried helping others who were down on their luck.

Teddy lived out his final five years at the Beehive Home in Orem, Utah where he enriched the lives of those he met there. Teddy sincerely loved his family and friends, remaining thoughtful and kind to everyone throughout his humble journey.

Teddy is survived by his four daughters, Kimmie Marie, Lisa Gale, Angela Michele, Cindy Renee and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Opal Bricker, Fontella Matlock, and two brothers, Acel Reynolds and Van Reynolds.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to Dana and Jodi Matthews for showing Teddy such unwavering love and care in his later years. He was blessed to have both of you as his truest friends all the way to the end!

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Luna City Cemetery, New Mexico.
