Flora Espinosa

Flora Espinosa, 83, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. She was born June 1, 1931 in Salada, CO to Juan and Maria Martinez Archuleta. She married Jose Robert Espinosa on November 10, 1946 in Pagosa Springs, CO.

Flora had the most beautiful smile and sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and most of all, loving her family.  She was very proud of the fact that she was the first patient admitted to Humana Hospital after it was built (now Davis Hospital and Medical Center).

She is survived by her husband, Jose, children: Robert (Maryanne) Espinosa, Claudie Espinosa, Rick (Gina) Espinosa, Gilbert (Cindy) Espinosa, Connie (Stan) Payne, Freddie (Amber) Espinosa, Becky Smith, Melanie (Ambrosio) Salazar, Shannon Bradley; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, one son, two daughters, three granddaughters, one brother and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. where friends may visit with the family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
