Florence Marino Wilson
November 17, 1925 ~ July 7, 2015
Florence Marino Wilson, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, just one day shy of 18 years from her husband’s death, in her loved ones home, surrounded by a company of angels.
She was born November 17, 1925 in Magna, Utah, a daughter of Anna and Alfred Marino.
Florence graduated from Cyprus High School, Magna, Utah. She worked at Hill AFB for many years before retiring in 1986.
She is survived by three children, Tom (Alice) Wilson, West Point; Susan (Duff) Lord, Layton; Jim (Paula) Wilson, Hollywood, FL; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene, one son, David, one daughter, Ann, four brothers and five sisters.
Right up to her death, you could see the sparkle in her eyes and beaming smile for everyone she met. She knew that Jesus was shining through her. She never had a mean thought of any person and prayed that God’s plan for their lives would be realized. From a small Baptist church in Magna to time in the presence of wonderful people at the Lakeside Assembly of God church, time with the Lord was one of the most important things in her life.
Special thanks to Susanne Allen from A Step Forward Hospice, for all her loving kindness in watching over Mom and teaching Florence’s children the fine art of comforting those who are waiting their entrance into Heaven. Thanks to everyone at Country Pines Retirement Community for their loving care and friendships. S
pecial thanks to Alice Wilson and Susan Lord for acting as primary caregivers.
