Florence Murphy Clark
CLEARFIELD a" Florence M. Clark, 92, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Clearfield, died January 9, 2009 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center.
Mrs. Clark was born June 30, 1916, the daughter of Martin D. and Margaret Hadley Murphy. She married John Marcus Clark on December 14, 1932 at Brigham City, UT. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mark passed away January 6, 1980.
She had worked for Smith Canning Co, Boyles Furniture, Sears & Roebuck, Bee Gees Apparel, Favero Shoes, and the Aerospace Ground Equipment Contractor at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the Clearfield 11th LDS Ward and had accomplished temple work.
Surviving are her three children: Mrs. Barbara Boor (David), South Weber; Mrs. Marie Carnahan (David), Sunset; Mr. Lee Marcus Clark (Kay), Roy; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Victor Murphy, Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, with Bishop Rick Thompson presiding of the Clearfield 11th Ward. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the mortuary and from 12:45 to 1:45 pm on Wednesday.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
