Florence Martha Goodell Rogerson

Florence Martha Rogerson, 91, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 13, 1926, in Ogden, UT to to William Elmer Goodell and Hazel Anna Nelson.
She married the love of her life Kenneth Jack Rogerson on July 18, 1950 in Ely, Nevada. Their vows were later solemnized in Ogden LDS Temple. They spent 59 years together until his death on November 29, 2009.
She attended Washington High School. At age 15, she worked at Pierce Canning Factory. In 1944, she worked for the Ogden Arsenal, Hill Air Force Base, and Defense Depot Ogden until she retired.
She had many lifetime interests including her family, dancing, crafts, and hunting and fishing with her husband. In her later years, she enjoyed making hair ribbons and bows for her grandchildren.
Florence leaves behind six children, Paulette (Roger) Skipper, Roy; Deanna Jean (Nick) Rowe, Eden; Kenneth Rogerson, Eden; Clark Rogerson, Eden; Sharon (Michael) Thinnes, North Ogden; and Karon Iacovetto, Rawlins, WY; 21 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 8 ½ great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Muriel Weeks and Cookie (Jerry) Gibson; and one brother, Ted (Darlene) Amsler;. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Jack Rogerson; and two sons, Garry Earl Rogerson and Jack Kevin Rogerson; and two sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Eden 2nd Ward, 2900 North Hwy 162. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Eden Mountain View Cemetery.
