Florence Browning Wilson 10/11/12 - 6/12/12

Florence Browning Wilson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away June 12, 2012. She was 99 years old, and passed away peacefully at Barton Creek Assisted Living.

She was born October 11, 1912, to Raymond and Lucy Browning in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School and married her high school sweetheart, James Wilson in 1935. They were married for time and all eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Jim passed away March 10, 1995. They are the parents of one son, Robert B. Wilson, Bountiful, Utah. She is survived by her son, 5 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her only sister, Ruth Reynolds, and her daughter-in-law, Suzanne.

Florence is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed Relief Society and going to the temple. At a young age, she helped her father in his grocery store. After she was married, she worked at Hotel Ben Lomond and the Bon Marche.

She has many lifelong friends. Every place she lived, she made new friends, and always kept her old friends. Her fond memories of them have been with her throughout her life. She has crocheted countless items, most were given away to family, friends, and charity. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking. She was frugal in her needs, but generous with her praise of others, and with her funds. Her family and friends were very important in her life. Her integrity and example will be remembered and respected by all who knew her.

We know she is having a happy reunion with her husband, Jim, her parents, and with other friends and family who have preceded her to heaven.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
