Floripa Adeline Diarte

January 31, 1931 ~ July 27, 2015

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Floripa Salazar Diarte, 84, passed away on July 27, 2015 at her home in Ogden.  She was born on January 31, 1931 to Joe David and Adelina Guiterrez Salazar in Monte Vista, CO.

Floripa moved to Ogden and married the love of her life, Raymond E. Diarte in 1950.  They were married at St. Joseph but were members of Saint James Catholic Church.

She worked for Cutters Laboratory where she retired after many years.

Floripa loved camping, spending time with her family, and traveling.  She deeply loved her family and put their needs above all else.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond; daughter, Rita; son, David Diarte; brother, Bernie (Francis) Salazar; sister, Angelina Salazar, all of Ogden; and nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tammie Diarte; son, Raymond Diarte, Jr; grandson, Steve Diarte; granddaughter, Buffy Diarte Rogers; and her six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, 495 N. Harrison, Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
