Floris LaVon Stevenson

Floris Stevenson BOUNTIFUL – Floris LaVon Stevenson, 97, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Life Care in Bountiful, Utah. She was born January 2, 1911 in Levan, Utah the daughter of Orson and Maud Warren Nielson. Floris was reared and educated in Salt Lake City, attending Steven Henagers Business College, later working as a secretary. Married Myron W. Stevenson, March 30, 1930 in Salt Lake City, he died May 4, 1972. Their marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, August 26, 1976. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary. She had a loving personality and was very spiritual, always caring for the needs of others. She enjoyed baking, sewing, playing the piano and singing. She loved being with her family. Floris is survived by her son Myron Ronald (Donna May) Stevenson; daughters Rosalyn LaVon (Andre “Andy”) Brunet, Beverly LaRue (Orville Dean) Gardner, 12 grandchildren and 33 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and six sisters. The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center for the special care given their mother. Visitation for friends and family will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Interment Rose Hills Cemetery, Whittier, California.
