Floyd LaMar Denning
LAYTON a" Floyd LaMar Denning was born on June 15, 1928 in Crystal, Idaho, the fourth of eight children of Floyd E. Denning and Rissie Fannin Denning. He married his sweetheart, Shirley JoRene Campbell on July 12, 1952; she passed away on May 29, 2007.
LaMar was a very hard worker all his life. He owned auto repair shops and rebuilt wrecked cars. He made them like new and was so proud of his work.
He had lived in Idaho and California and moved back to Utah in the 1980s where he continued his profession.
LaMar will be greatly missed. He was a kind and gentle person and wanted to do good all his life. He was a lover of dogs, especially cocker spaniels. His dog Charley was always with him and he was hardly ever without a dog. They were among his best friends and very important to him.
He is preceded in death by his sweetheart, JoRene, mother and father, Dale Denning (brother), Nadine Taylor and LaRee Keller (sisters).
Survived by his son David Richard Denning; daughter Debbie Ann Phillips (Amber M. Phillips, granddaughter); and son William Earl (Billie) Denning of Arizona. Also survived by brothers and sisters: William and Della Denning, Roy; Alifair and Melvin Lewis, Mountainburg, Arkansas; Joyce and Larry Garn, Layton; Jean and Ken Keller, Sunset; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit with family from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton
