Floyd Allan “Al” Gittins WASHINGTON TERRACE – Floyd Allan Gittins, loving husband and father, went to be with his Father in Heaven on Monday, July 2, 2007 at his home. He was born November 20, 1937 in Bountiful, a son of Floyd James and Lucille Allen Gittins. Al married Patsy Sherwood on March 8, 1956 in Ogden. They were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple on August 22, 1981. He was a contractor and carpenter building custom homes. Al’s passions were building homes, a good game of golf, and his cats and dogs. Surviving are his wife, Patsy, of Washington Terrace; five children, Cathy Gittins (Joey) Martinez, Salt Lake City; Blake Allan Gittins, and Linda Gittins Ostler, both of Ogden; Chad (Lisa) Gittins, Layton; Shaylene Gittins (Paul) Armendariz, Riverdale; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Venice Stoddard, Ogden; Barbara Scott, West Haven. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Graveside services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. A private family viewing will be held Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Gittins Residence.
