Floyd Stagge

August 21, 1930 ~ August 2, 2015

Our sweet funny dad, grandpa, and brother passed away at his home on August 2, 2015.  Floyd, the youngest son of Louis and Lura Parker Stagge, was born on August 21, 1930.  He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.  In 1953 he married Myrle England.  They lived and raised their children in Plain City.  Myrle passed away in 1998 and he has missed her every day.  Floyd worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years.  He spoke so fondly of his time at the railroad and his many friends.  Floyd enjoyed bowling on leagues, traveling with friends, and spending time with his family.  Floyd was a wonderful dad and grandpa.  His grandkids will always remember him taking them to and from school.  He was always there when we needed him.

Floyd is survived by his daughters Michelle (Rick) Peterson and Denise (Bob) Roman as well as his brother, Ralph Stagge and sister-in-law, JeNeal Thomas.  He has seven grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Kellyn, Kelci, Bree, Zachary, and Nathan.  He has three great-grandchildren, Korbin, Grant, and Tylie.  Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, and one sister and his son, Darren Floyd Stagge.

Floyd’s daughters are so grateful to Lisa, Debbie, and Stephanie from Hospice for Utah.  Their care, concern, and help made these last few days so much easier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
