FLOYDE H. RICHENS
1949-2016
Floyde H. Richens passed away on June 2, 2016 at his home in Kearns, Utah.
He has gone home and is finally free from pain. He loved his life here with his family and friends who meant so much to him. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his brothers and Sisters going to Movies and he really loved spending quality time with his grandchildren Nathan, Dalton, Shae, Kylee, Hannah and Seth. Floyde Struggled with his health later in life from Diabetes and Agent orange from the Vietnam War.
Floyde was born on March 25, 1949 in Murray, Utah to Freeda Hair and Marvin Lamont Richens. He married Claudia Ann Cox in 1968 and together they raised a son, Floyde Dee Richens. They later divorced. Floyde enjoyed a long career in the construction business as a general contractor.
Floyde served in the Vietnam War as a proud member of the United States Marines.
He is survived by his associate and best friend Cherrie Kofford,; his son Floyde Dee Richens; grandchildren, Nathan Dee (Charlie), Dalton (Jessica), Shae, Kylee, Hannah, Faith and Seth. Great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Scott, Kaydense, RayLynn and; 4 sisters, Karolee Bagley, Joyce (Jim) Rose, DiAnn (Dan) Bradshaw, Peggy (Bill) Long and nephew Brent Belka.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Richens and brothers Ronnie and Jimmie.
We would like to thank the staff at Harmony Home Health and Hospice for the loving care that he gave to Floyde in his final days.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
