F. Milo House
July 28, 1925 ~ July 14, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Milo House, announce his passing on July 14, 2018, at the age of 92.
Milo was born in Willard, UT, on July 28, 1925 to Francis Clay and Leora House.
After graduating from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, he joined the Marines at the age of 17. He was honored to serve as a World War II dive bomber; stationed in the Pacific Theater and North Carolina. He was proud to be an honorary guest in the WWII military parade.
Upon his return from serving, Milo married and later divorced Phyllis Wilde. They had one son, Kenneth House. They raised David and Evelyn Turquoise and adopted Kevin and Kim House.
He married Georgia Behunin Rees. They had one son, David House and Milo helped raise Georgia’s six children that he always thought of as his own.
After Georgia passed, he spent the last 17 years with his sweetheart Suzanne. We are grateful to her and her sons.
All that knew Milo knew him to be a hard-working man and after his first job working a paper route began working at the age of 15 at Lowe’s Hardware. He was employed, and eventually owned Read Brother’s Appliance Repair for 40 years. He also worked for Sears and A-1 Appliance until he took his last service call at the age of 82.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Lorraine and Betty Jean, his son Kenneth Milo House, his wife Georgia, and 3 grandchildren. He is survived by his son David (Shannon), Mike (Starla) Rees, Ken (Cindy) Rees, Patty (Zac) Powell, Jenny Payne, Sharon (Fred) Weston, Mark (Wendy) Rees, 39 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and other staff at McKay Dee Hospital for the compassion they displayed.
