Forrest L. Snyder

Forrest L. Snyder BRIGHAM CITY – Forrest Lamar Snyder, 71, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his home in Brigham City of cancer. He was born May 10, 1938 in Danville, Pennsylvania, a son of Forrest Peter and Erma M. Reiner Snyder. On March 1, 1958, Forrest married Eunice H. Schmidt in Everett, Washington. He served his country with the U.S. Air Force for 29 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He also served during the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S.D.A. Forest Service Regional Office in Ogden, Utah after 35 years of service. Forrest was a member of the Lutheran Church. He was a member of the N.A.R.F.E., the Elks and Moose Lodges. Forrest enjoyed spending time with friends, family and all the children fishing, camping, boating, cooking, and bowling. He traveled to many places and retired to Yuma, Arizona until June of 2009, when he returned to Utah be with family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Eunice; one son and four daughters, Forrest Douglas Snyder; Delon Snyder, Cynthia Snyder, Lorie Snyder and Karen (Doug) Olsen; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road where Military Honors will be accorded.
