Frances E. Burton

"Together Again" Frances E. Burton OGDEN – Frances Ellen Kervin Burton, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at her home. Frances was born in Cardiff, South Wales, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Elizabeth Jewell Kervin. Frances was raised in and around the Cardiff, South Wales area. She spent time working in London, England during the second world war. It was in Cardiff, during the war, that she met her husband to be, William Francis Burton. They were wed in 1945. Their first son, John Michael, was born in Cardiff. When her husband returned to the States at the end of the war, Frances and John followed a short time later. Utah became their home and the birthplace of their remaining children, Linda, Wayne, William and Kathy. Frances was first and foremost a wife and mother. She took great pride in her children, and in later years, her eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The other love of her life was their home and yard. She spent many hours working in her flower gardens. Frances is survived by her sons, John Michael (Delaine) of Ogden; Wayne (Rene Marlin) of Golden, CO; William (Robyn) of Roy; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and daughters, Linda and Kathy. Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Crematory. Funeral Directors, Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
