SOUTH OGDEN a€" Frances Monica Petersen, 81, died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at her home in South Ogden.

She was born January 21, 1926 in New York City, New York, a daughter of Thomas R. and Florence Sullivan King.

On March 11, 1950, Frances married William D. Petersen in St. Josephs, California. William preceded her in death on November 26, 1967.

She resided in Long Island, New York for 44 years and then moved to California. A job transfer moved her to Utah for four years, followed by a move back to California.

Frances was a member of the Catholic Church.

She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and Rosary Society. Frances enjoyed the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are four sons and three daughters, Bill (Glenda) Petersen, Plain City; Jim Petersen, Merrick, NY; Tom (Lucinda) Petersen, Mastic Beach, NY; Jack Petersen, South Ogden; Fran (Barry) Brackett, Rescue, CA; Florrie Petersen and Betty Petersen, both of South Ogden; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
