Francis Webb Dupaix passed away on Saturday January 19, 2013. He was born to Francis Lorraine and Lucille Agnes Webb Dupaix November 9, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from South High School, Francis served in the Navy during WWII. Francis served an LDS mission in French speaking Europe. He later attended and graduated from the University of Utah. During this time he met Maurine Foote and married her on March 16, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. Francis loved fencing, photography, and music. He taught at Central Junior High and several elementary schools. After retiring from teaching, Francis and Maurine served 2 LDS missions in France and a service mission on Temple Square. Together they served in the Ogden Temple for many years and loved doing Family History.
After Maurine passed away, Francis met Patsy Keith and they were married April 11, 1998 in the Ogden Temple. Together they served a mission in Luxembourg.
Francis is survived by his wife, Patsy (Patti), children: James Dupaix(Wendy), Jeanne Meakin (Joe), Elizabeth Smoot (Owen), David Dupaix (Laura), Leslie Dupaix (Laura) and Paul Dupaix (Karen); step-children: Candi Burton, Stacy Fritz, Dan Howell (Kazia), and Kevin Howell, 36 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 14 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, sister Lucille Snarr, brother Fred Dupaix(Joyce). He was preceded in death by his wife Maurine, son Willard, and grandson Joshua Meakin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Aspen Cove Ward, 789 E. Wasatch Drive, Layton. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Chancellor Gardens and Millcreek Home and Hospice for their kind and loving care of our husband and father.
