Francis Lloyd Poulsen
February 4, 1945 ~ July 2, 2018
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Francis Lloyd Poulsen, returned to his heavenly home on Monday, July2, 2018. He was born to Francis and Ramona Poulsen on February 4, 1945 in Montpelier, Idaho. Lloyd graduated from Bonneville High School and Weber State College.
Lloyd met his eternal sweetheart, Karyn Schenk, in 1965. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple on February 11, 1966. Together they had six wonderful children who absolutely cherish their father.
Nothing brought Lloyd greater joy than to be with or talk about his family. He loved the family gathering that always occurred on Sunday nights.
Lloyd was a very caring, selfless, generous person. He was always sharing his substance or dropping whatever he was doing to help another.
Lloyd retired from Hill Air Force Base with 41 ½ years of service. He loved his job and his co-workers. Lloyd received a very special award at the Pentagon for his suggestions that saved the government a great amount of Money.
Lloyd loved attending activities and athletic events his children and grandchildren participated in. When Lloyd finally took time for himself he loved muscle cars and hot rods especially his 1969 RS Camaro.
Lloyd’s health declined in his later years, but he always relied on his Heavenly Father and Savior to help him. We love him so much and will greatly miss him.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Karyn, Roy; his children, Wendee (Bill) Carter, Syracuse; Kevin Poulsen, Plain City; Chantelle Poulsen, Roy; Heidi (Josh) Voorhees, Farr West; Angela (Brian) Beebe, South Ogden; Kory (Jacqui) Poulsen, Farr West; ten grandchildren (and one on the way), one sister, Juanita (Don) Hopfenbeck, Washington Terrace; one brother, Randy (Eileen) Poulsen, Riverdale.
