Frank "Roy" Lopez
CLEARFIELD a" Born December 10, 1949 and departed on September 2, 2010, son of Vidal and Eloisa Lopez and was the youngest of 8 children.
Roy was studying with Jehovah''s Witnesses and he looked forward to the future promise found at Isaiah 33:24 where it reads "... and no resident will say I am sick."
Roy was an auto mechanic instructor for many years. He was employed with the Davis School District. Roy was a great family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren greatly.
Roy was inspired by his brother-in-law, Eddie Espinoza, and learned to play guitar and sing at a very young age. He performed with many bands, Los Quatros, La Raza, Grupo Placer, Grupo Felicidad and V.I.P. Latinos. He loved music and performing. Roy was always the entertainment for our family camping trips and reunions. We will always hold his music in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years,Lisa; sons Frankie (Ameerose), Clearfield; Eddie (Daina), Clearfield; 6 grandchildren, Frankie Jr., Constanze Jayvaliyah, Demetri, Gabrial, Angel, Shymariena; also siblings, Tillie Wright, Layton; Eliria Warburton, Sunset, Viola Espinoza, Green River, WY, Erminio Lopez, Lyman, WY, Josephine (Solomon) Martinez, Sunset, Steve (Debbie) Lopez, Lyman, WY; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Vidal Lopez and sister Elsie Mattingly.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Roy''s niece, Elaine Gallegoes who has always shared his love for music and for the family.
