Frank B. Theall

Francis Bartow Theall 1924-2007

OREM - Francis (Frank) Bartow Theall, 83, was born September 14, 1924 to Nina Perry and Frank B. Theall in the old Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. Frank was one of seven children, having three brothers and three sisters, and is survived by his younger sister, Olive (Jack) Christensen, of Clinton, UT. He died Saturday, November 10, 2007, in his apartment at Summerfield Retirement Community, Orem, UT, of natural causes, having suffered for some time from a number of ailments incident to age.

Frank grew up on 16th Street in Ogden, and attended Ogden City Schools. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, in the South Pacific. He suffered injuries in the war and spent two years in a veteran''s hospital recovering before resuming his life in the Ogden area.

Frank married Lena Dean (Mickey) Kimbell on September 7, 1967. They just recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Following their marriage they moved to Liberty, Utah where they resided for 23 years. While living there they joined the LDS church. Frank served in the Liberty Ward as secretary to the High Priest''s Group.

Frank worked at Utah General Depot for 37 years before retiring in 1980 as a Carpenter Foreman.

He was a member of the Eagles, the American Legion and NARFE, where he served in various leadership positions. Frank was proud of his military service and his work for the government. He enjoyed working with wood, growing things (having grown up helping with the family orchards), hunting, camping and fishing.

Severe winters prompted a move to Clinton, UT. Frank and Mickey had just recently moved to Orem, UT.

Frank is survived by his wife Mickey, three sons, two stepdaughters, Carolyn (Paul) Thompson and Kathleen (Hugh) Hadley, eight grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

The family is grateful for the kindness and loving care from the retirement community staff and residents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may visit with the family prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the mortuary from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
