Franklin O. Southwick

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Franklin O. Southwick, 70, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
He was born on June 6, 1943 to Andrew Jerry and Delta Holmes Southwick in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State.
Frank married Sharon Kay Willard on March 15, 1963 in Liberty. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Frank and Sharon celebrated their 50th Anniversary last year.
He worked as an engineer at McKay Dee Hospital. He also spent many years working alongside his father at the family sawmill.
Frank was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as the Young Men’s Basketball Coach, ward athletic director, and Secretary in the High Priest Group.
He was President of the Western Valley Riders and was instrumental in building the Liberty Arena. He loved his horses, riding snowmobiles, and hunting. His greatest love was spending time with his family at the cabin on Monte Cristo.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; sons, Franklin Todd (JaNae) Southwick, Plain City; Thomas O. (Shelly) Southwick, Malad, ID; and Travis J. Southwick, Liberty; daughter, Amy Southwick Adcock, Liberty; 12 grandchildren, brother, Paul (Jackie) Southwick; and sister, Connie Golightly. He was preceded in death by his parents, three infant brothers, and son, Andrew Lloyd Southwick.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Liberty Cemetery.
