Fred L. Willis

Fred L. Willis OGDEN – Fred Leon Willis, 66, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at McKay-Dee Hospital of pneumonia. He was born December 19, 1941 in Macon, Georgia, a son of Arlington Oscollie and Lucille Norene Hewitt Willis. Fred married Donna Ann Gordon in 1964 in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. On August 19, 1977, Fred married Shirley Ann Abbott in Elko, Nevada. He lived in the Ogden area most of his life where he graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1959. He also attended one year of college. Fred retired from Hill Air Force Base as an electronic technician. He was a member of the Ogden Eagles Lodge #2472 and the Staggs Car Club in his younger years. He enjoyed computers, camping, gardening and repairing televisions. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Ann, of Ogden; two sons and two daughters, Scott Willis and Daniel K. Willis, both of Ogden; Gina Bradley (Sam) Kurutz, Monrovia, CA; Rebecca A. (Adam J.) Stever, Washington Terrace; and six grandchildren. Preceding Fred in death were his parents, and his son, Eric L. Willis. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
