Freda E. Campbell
FARR WEST – Freda Elizabeth Garner Campbell, 86, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at a local care center of causes incident to age.
She was born October 1, 1921 in Shelley, Idaho, a daughter of William Warren and Jessie Mae Sewell Garner.
On May 17, 1940, Freda married Roy Harold Campbell in Ogden. Roy preceded her in death on January 25, 2005.
She lived in the Ogden area most of her life and graduated from Ogden High School.
Freda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She owned and operated The Oaks with her husband for two to three years.
Freda was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She built floats for the Golden Spike Coliseum. Freda enjoyed camping, traveling, canning, and puzzles. She and her husband were snowbirds. Freda loved being a homemaker, having her children and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are five sons and seven daughters, Larry (Jean), Wayne (June), Scott, Michael (Cindy), Bruce, Judy Owens and Carma Mangel, all of Ogden; Lois (Scott) Durrant and Marlene (Kent) Wright, both of Roy; Dawna (Ray) DeHart, Ogden; Janice (Roger) Redmond, Holladay; Christy (Keith) Redfearn, Ogden; and 167 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Joy and Wanda, both of Ogden.
Preceding Freda in death were her husband, one son Reed, two sons-in-law, Merlyn Owens and Michael Mangel, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
