Frederick Lee O'Brien

Frederick Lee O’Brien SUNSET – Frederick Lee O’Brien, 76, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011. He was born November 13, 1934 in Somerville, MA; to John Douglas and Elsie Anderson O’Brien. He served in the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and also served in the US Air Force. He was employed by Statewide Transport for many years. He married Katharina (Kitty) Gradwohl in Munich, Germany. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2009. Frederick was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his sons, John (Brenda) O’Brien, Layton; Michael Gradwohl, Vista, CA; daughter, Debbie (Jack) McMillion, Menifee, CA; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother, Ken O’Brien, Newburg, NY; and sister, Doris Anderson, Malden, MA. Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Kitty, brother Richard and sister Marjorie. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
