Frieda K. Metzler, 96, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born on October 31, 1921 in Windsor, Colorado, the daughter of Henry and Mary Kaiser Kraus.

She married Barney Metzler on September 16, 1937.

Frieda enjoyed bowling, fishing, and swimming.

Frieda is survived by her sons, Ronald (Carolyn) Metzler and Charlie (Dianne) Metzler; daughters, Janice (Laural) Fuhriman and Patsy Metzler; 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 1 one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Helen Erbes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney; one grandson and two great-grandchildren; and eight of her siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
