G. Jack LeFevre Our loving husband, father and grandfather, G. Jack LeFevre, 79, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with liver cancer on November 24, 2011. He was born March 20, 1932 in Spry, Utah to John and Valora LeFevre. Jack graduated from Jordan High School. He served his country by joining the Navy in 1952-1955. He started working for H.A.F.B. in 1960 and continued through to retirement in 1992. He married his sweetheart, Renae Bennett of Tremonton, in the Logan LDS Temple on February 3, 1956. Jack was an active member of the LDS Church and faithfully served in many callings. He was the 1st Counselor in the Bishopric of the South Ogden 7th Ward at the time of his death. He loved serving in the Ogden LDS Temple. He was always a compassionate, diligent man in all his many callings. Jack loved to take his family camping and fishing. He was happy working in his garden growing pumpkins for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed country music, cowboy poetry and western movies. He had a passion for woodcarvings; walking sticks were a specialty. He did leatherwork, photography and poetry. He is survived by his wife of almost 56 years and his children, Susan (Clay) Carter, Willard; Julie (Russ) Brewer, Roy; Mike LeFevre, Wendover, NV; Lori (Troy) Lunt, Cedar City; Todd (Stephanie) LeFevre, Pleasant View; Patti (Mike) Redford, Clearfield; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; brother, Don (Bonnie) LeFevre, Bountiful; and sister, Maris (Duane) Olson, Sandy. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the South Ogden LDS 7th Ward, 720 Nancy Dr. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. We love you, Honey, Dad, Grandpa, See Ya on the First.
