Garrett Allan Andrew

2011-2014

Garrett Allan Andrew returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.  Garrett was born April 3, 2011 in Salt Lake City to Cody and Veronica Andrew, being their third son and fifth child.  He is survived by his older siblings, Ethan, Hailey, Lauren and Devin.  Garrett and his “gang” lived happy and active lives in North Salt Lake, Utah.  He is the grandson of Allan and Jane Andrew of Filer, Idaho, and Bill and JoAnn McCorkle of Joshua, Texas.  He also has a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins living everywhere from New York to California.

Garrett was a beautiful little boy with blond curly hair and the biggest, bluest eyes that sparkled. He lived for mischief and adventure and was quite the daredevil.  He brought comic relief into any situation and had the gift of getting out of trouble with his charm. He loved everything from cars, to trains, to light saber fights with his brothers. He also loved having his fingernails painted by his doting sisters. Garrett's final act of heroism happened when he saved the life of a Houston woman with the donation of his kidneys.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 25, 2014 at the North Salt Lake Legacy LDS Stake Center, 954 West 1100 North, where friends may visit family from 9:00-10:30 am prior to the services.  Graveside service will immediately follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery 2224 South 200 West.   Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
