Garrick Reid Bowen
FARMINGTON – Garrick Reid Bowen, 86, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was a dedicated husband, dad, grandpa and friend.
He married the love of his life Marlene Moon on January 23, 1959.
He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Garrick had a great love for music. He was very dedicated to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and served for 12 ½ years. He was the founder and conductor of the “Harmonaires” choir and loved every moment with them. He also managed and founded some dance bands including the “Notables.” In addition, he spent his career as a band teacher at Central Davis Jr. High School and South Davis Jr. High.
He is survived by his wife Marlene of 56 years of marriage, his son Alan (Phyllis), Mark (Shelli), daughters Janet (Jesse) Brown, Karen Bowen, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Farmington North Stake, 729 W. Shepard Lane, Farmington. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
