Gary Lee Bangert

Gary Lee Bangert, 81 years old, passed away on December 30, 2021 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on July 15, 1940, son of Albert and Martha Bangert.

He joined the Navy in 1959 and served on the US Toledo CA133. He was honorably discharged on July 7, 1964.

Gary married Rocio Garcia on November 27, 1992 in North Ogden.

He loved riding his Harley and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed reloading and target practicing.

Gary is survived by his wife, Rocio; seven children, Jamie Johnson, Jeana (Willie) Salinas, Cinnamon Corrigan, Holly Lucas, Georgina Bangert, Michael Bangert, and Chris (Breanna) Bangert; and 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Martha Bangert; his sister, Olivia Bangert; and grandsons, Spencer Chase Salinas and Mateo Lucas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
