Gary B. Bowden

Gary B. Bowden OGDEN – Gary Benjamin Bowden, 73, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. He was born November 23, 1936, the proud son of Howard B. and Erma Harding Bowden, graduating from Ogden High School. On August 29, 1957, he married the love of his life, Suzannah “Sue” G. Gibbons. They resided in the Ogden area with a short period in Santa Barbara, Calif. Together, Gary and Sue loved to spend time in the outdoors with their family and numerous friends. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and boat man throughout his life. He was a success in the auto industry as a car salesman, general manager and dealer. In recent years, he enjoyed supporting his sons with their endeavors within the auto industry passing on what he had learned. Surviving are his wife, Sue, of 52 years; two sons and one daughter, Scott (Lynette) Bowden, South Ogden; Paul (Ann) Bowden, West Point; Shelley (Rick) Moore, Hooper; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gary Howard Bowden. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 14, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
