Gary Lynn Brown, husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away in his home peacefully on September 26, 2016. We have lost a great man and friend.
He was born on July 27, 1944, in Ogden, Utah to Fred Leroy Brown and Mary LaRue Tippets.
Gary married Carolyn Bingham on June 2, 1972. They met in the spring of 1972 on a blind date coloring Easter eggs and fell into eternal love. They were together for 45 years until his passing. Gary and Carolyn joined two families of five girls and five boys together.
His childhood was spent in Ogden Utah. He also spent many summers in Star Valley, Idaho with extended family. Gary attended schools in Weber County. He studied machine tooling after graduating high school. He spent many years driving heavy equipment working on the many highways throughout Southern Utah. He eventually obtained jobs at Hill Air Force Base as a millwright and sheet metal mechanic until he retired.
Gary loved spending time with his family, relatives and friends. He was always tinkering in his garage with his many tools working on anything that needed repair. He loved to fish for trout and especially loved to eat them. He was always willing to help anyone that needed it. He loved the Brown Family Reunions and his extended family. He loved his RV and spent many memorable outings with his wife and family camping and fishing in the many beautiful national parks, campgrounds and reservoirs throughout Utah. He also loved taking his RV on extended road trips to other states always stopping by to see his children. He was a friend and mentor to many and will be greatly missed.
