Gary D. Hooper
OGDEN – Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Gary Dean Hooper, 67, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 13, 1940 in Ogden, a son of Ray and Norleen Skeen Hooper. He was a lifelong resident of Ogden.
On October 26, 1957, Gary married Judy Kay Hooper in Roy.
Gary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was an Elder.
He worked as a truck driver for Geneva.
Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and horse training. He loved spending time with his family, especially at Hoop Lake.
Surviving are his wife Judy of Ogden; three sons and two daughters, Ronald Dean Hooper, Clinton; Brian Lee Hooper, Vernal; Chad Ryan Hooper, Colorado; Judy Kay Wood, Harrisville; Vickie Lynn Fox, Ogden; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Rick Johns and LeAnn Cheralonza.
Preceding Gary in death were his mother, Norleen Johns, grandmother, Hazel Carter and grandfather, Elmer Skeen.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the West Weber Cemetery.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 8:45 to 9:30 a.m.
