Gary Bruce Koga

Gary Bruce Koga passed away at his home in Salt Lake City on January 17, 2021 from natural causes. Gary was born on July 16, 1956 in Salt Lake City to Shigeo and Michiko (Hattori) Koga. He graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy and was a licensed massage therapist. He lived in Salt Lake City for the past 30 years and was involved with the Buddhist Temple there.

Gary is survived by his son, Kyle currently stationed at West Point, NY; sister, Kelli and her husband, Billy Nowell of Layfette, CO; sister-in-law, Emiko of Eldorado Springs, CO; nephew, Kiyoshi of Westminster, CO; and niece, Kari of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shigeo and Michiko; aunts, Sumiko and Yoshika Hattori and his brother, Tepper.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
