Gary William Springer 1938-2013

Gary William Springer passed away peacefully October 6, 2013.

Gary was born August 3, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Neil William and Elva Winn Springer.

He graduated from South High School and served in the US Navy stationed in the Philippines. After his service in the Navy, he married Brenda Pohjola, later divorced.

Gary worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base after 20 years of service and then later retired from the Fisher Company. He loved hunting, fishing and camping in the outdoors. He had a great sense of humor, was a good sport and would help anyone in need. He had a strong belief in God.

He is survived by his children; Patricia, Jeffrey and James; grandchildren; sisters Darlene (Wayne) Loveall, Christine (Paul) Pickering; nephew Michael Loveall and niece Melody (Patrick) Gallegos; cousins Mitchell (Jeune) Ellis, Tracy Ellis, Randy(Dena) Ellis, Russell (Tara) Kakala, Lisa (Jay) Simon and Debby (G) Deguzman and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Beverly (Wallace) Hayes and Barbara Weaver and niece Robin Hayes.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
