William Gary Taylor, 81, returned to his heavenly home due to natural causes on July 3, 2024. Gary will always be remembered for his many, many, many different hobbies over this lifetime. He like hunting & fishing, was great at making jewelry, loved trains, woodworking, metal detecting, geocaching, CB radios and LOVED Hot Rod cars especially his infamous 1923 “SUPERBEE”.
Gary was born July 11, 1942, in Upalco, Utah to William Wayne Taylor and Drucilla Murphy. Gram Dru used to always tell us that Gary was such a beautiful baby and cute kid, that people would stop her to look at him.
Gary was raised in Upalco, Utah until he was 15 years old when they moved to Roy Utah. Later he went back to Upalco to graduate where he met a beautiful cheerleader named Donna that he later married.
After marrying Donna, they moved to Ogden, Utah and then Bountiful before settling in Roy to raise a family. As the kids grew and moved away Gary and Donna moved to Clinton, then later found their retirement home in Roy.
Gary is survived by his son, William Brent Taylor (daughter in-law Judy Taylor) of Hooper, Utah; and daughter Sherilyn Taylor-Brown (son in-law Michael Brown) of Clinton, Utah. His grandchildren Meagan, Cody, Brittnee, Bryson, Preston and Kiah along with nine great grandchildren.
We will miss Dad and his huge smile; he was always so happy to see his friends and family visit. We pray he is in Heaven riding in a 1940 Willies hot rod and doing the Jitterbug with mom.
Until we see each other again dad, tons of love.
Graveside services will be held at the Hooper Cemetery on Friday, July 12th at 10 am, go to the far east end of the cemetery.
