Gary Ken Worthen

Gary Ken Worthen, age 52, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a valiant eighteen month battle with Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma. He was born March 30, 1961 in Kellogg, Idaho to O. Ken Worthen and Marge H. Worthen. Gary was a talented construction craftsman, who with his best friend, Mike Whittier, owned Affordable Repair, based in Brigham City. He is survived by his sons, Ken J. Worthen of Brigham City and Joshua Overstreet of Pedal, MS; his mother, Marge Worthen Lofgran; and brother, Kelly D. Worthen, both of Clearfield; sister, Diane (William) Lange of Layton; five nieces, one nephew, two grandchildren and ten great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Terri Jo Brown; and step-father, Curtis A. Lofgran. Gary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Brigham City 24th ward. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Family will meet with friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Hunstman Cancer Center for the outstanding care and concern with which they treated Gary during his lengthy illness. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Huntsman Cancer Center in Gary''s memory.
