Gayle Pauline Gardner Odekirk Erz

December 30, 1933 ~ December 11, 2014

Our pretty Gayle Pauline passed away Thursday, surrounded by those she loved with all her heart.  Her life was shared with a multitude of family and friends that delighted in her presence, because of her smile, wit and sincerity. Gayle was born in Deweyville, UT and later moved to Ogden, where she spent the majority of her life. There she met Norman Odekirk with whom she was married for 21 years and had the privilege of raising four beautiful children with.  After her first marriage Gayle married Paul Fisher Erz for 31 years.  They spent their time enjoying each other’s families and their life together.  After Paul passed away in 2006, Norman and Gayle reunited by saying “We started this life together, we lost a son together, now we should finish together.”

Gayle is survived by her Love, Norman Odekirk Sr., their children Jerilyn Odekirk Ewing, Norman Cambell Odekirk Jr. and Juli Marie Odekirk.

She is preceded in death by her son Frank Verl Odekirk and her entire family beyond her children’s generation.

Her legacy is one of laughter, unconditional love and absolute acceptance of others.  May she now rest in the love of those that have gone before her, knowing that her love still lives in each of us today.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
