Gayle Cook Mitchell

December 29, 1939 ~ March 1, 2015

On Sunday morning, March 1, 2015, after a battle with pneumonia, Gayle Mitchell peacefully went home to be with her Eternal Companion, James.

She is survived by her children: James H. and his wife Connie Mitchell, Steven Mitchell, her daughter- in-law, but daughter in fact, Barbara Mitchell, Kim Mitchell and Styler Mitchell. The pride of her heart was her 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren that will sorely miss her. Also remaining are her brothers and sisters, Karen Kirkman, Clair and Kent Walker, Brian and April Cook, Jeanette Smith, Shelly Hamblin, Tim and Susan Cook and Corey Cook.

She was “Grandma Gayle” to many who knew her from her retirement job at Walmart and she was very grateful for their kindness and friendship.

Gayle fulfilled an LDS Mission to the Canada Winnipeg Mission and often related many faith promoting experiences of the time she served.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7th at the Sunset 4th Ward Chapel, 220 West 975 North, Sunset. A short viewing will be held that same morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m.in the Relief Society room. .
