Gaylen Ray Jones

Gaylen ‘Ray’ Jones passed away November 3, 2018, peacefully at his home with his family by his side.

He was born on August 29, 1937 to Alta Lucille and Russell Jones in Fruita, Colorado. He grew up in Torrey, Utah.  Ray married the love of his life Darlene Jones January 2008.  He resided in Farmington, Utah for the past 45 years.

Ray had a career with Big D Construction for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, and carpentry.  He loved his family and dear neighbors.

He is survived by his wife Darlene Jones, her children that he considered his own; Shannon (Edward) Misch, Richard (Taramie) Ulrich, Nicholas (Heather) Ulrich, Rockford Ulrich, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his sister Elaine Forbush, his brother Darl (Barbara) Jones, and many nieces and nephews that he loved very much.  He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille Hunt Sawdey, his father Russell Jones and his niece Brenda Boffa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday November 10, 2018 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 9:00 – 10:30 am prior to services.
