Genevieve “Jenny” Ethel Dickey Jacklin
February 25, 1932 ~ June 5, 2018
Genevieve “Jenny” Ethel Dicky Jacklin was born in Orem on February 25, 1932, a daughter of Allen B. and Ethel Nelson Dickey, the ninth child in a family of 13 children.
She married Raymond John Jacklin, Jr. in Orem on July 17, 1950 and was sealed on December 2, 1989 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married 57 years.
Jenny graduated from Lincoln High school and LDS Seminary. She taught Sunday School, Primary, was active in PTA, Girl Scouts, and loved being a visiting teacher. She was Ward Librarian for 17 years.
She loved the mountains, going camping, and porcelain dolls. She also loved going for long rides, children, and most of all her family.
Jenny is survived by her daughters, Melanie Jacklin of Florida and Karen (Blair) Hardman of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Justin Hardman, Sheena Hardman, and Teisha (Scott) Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Patrick Thomas, Kaleb Thomas, and Hailey Thomas; three sisters, Zola Mitchell, Mary (Lee) Musselman, and Marjorie Butler; and brother, Aaron (Marion) Dickey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; son, Kevin Ray; her parents, seven brothers and one sister, Woodrow, Ralph, Leland, Cecil, Benny, Arnold, Allen, and Virginia Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
